If you make changes to a SCORM package using another program, you will need to re-upload it to the znanja LMS in order for the changes to appear. You can replace a SCORM course with a new packagewithout needing to create a new course.
1. |
Find the SCORM course you would like to update on your course list. Open the dropdown menu next to the course. Then click Replace: |
2. |
On the page that appears, select the new SCORM package to upload: |
3. |
Then click Replace. All files in the course will be replaced by those found in the new package. |
Note about existing student data
SCORM courses will store student data including course progress, answers, and other data. This information will not be removed or modified by the znanja LMS when a SCORM course is replaced.
Whether student data is retained depends on the user’s authoring tool, what changes were made, and the programming within the course. In order to keep student data after replacing a course:
- The organization and item identifiers found in the package's manifest file must be the same as the old package.
- The package's programming must be compatible with student data created by the old package.
Otherwise, student data may be lost, and errors may occur. We recommend only replacing courses for minor changes such as corrections to text.
